ABOUT EILEEN

Eileen Cosby

Transformational Speaker | Award Winning Author  |
Leen on Kindness Podcast Host | Kindness & Belonging Enthusiast

What does it mean to truly belong? That question has guided much of Eileen Tucker Cosby’s life and work.

As an author, speaker, and kindness & belonging advocate, Eileen creates meaningful conversations and programs that encourage compassion, understanding, and humanconnection. Through storytelling, children’s books, community engagement, and her Book Donation Program, she helps individuals and organizations explore how everyday acts of kindness can change lives.

Eileen is the author of the memoir Yes! There Are Black People in Utah. No! I Am Not a Mormon., a powerful reflection on growing up as a Black girl in 1960s and 70s Utah and the lifelong search for identity, visibility, and belonging.

She is also the creator of the children’s book series beginning with Be Kind to Every Kind and Every Kind of Shade — books designed to help children celebrate differences with kindness, empathy, and inclusion.

At the heart of Eileen’s work is the belief that kindness is not weakness — it is strength. Whether speaking to a school, community group, organization, or podcast audience, she encourages people to build spaces where others feel seen, valued, and accepted.

Through the Heart & Soul Book Donation Program, individuals and organizations can help place books centered on kindness, inclusion, identity, and belonging into the hands of children, schools, libraries, nonprofits, and community programs.

Through Leen on Kindness on You Tube, Eileen shares reflections and conversations about kindness, belonging, healing, identity, and the importance of making people feel seen and valued.

Her mission is simple: To remind people that small acts of kindness can create lasting change — and that everyone deserves to feel like they belong.
